Most astrologers will tell you to chant a mantra or wear a gemstone for your career. But there is a specific deity assigned to your Moon sign that directly controls your career security and almost nobody prescribes it.

The 9th House From Moon: Your Hidden Insecurity
In Jyotish, the 9th house from the Lagna (Ascendant) shows your fortune, dharma, and divine grace. That is well known.
But here is what most people miss: when you place the Moon as Lagna and count the 9th house from it, you discover what you are fundamentally insecure about.
This is not always obvious. Some people are deeply self-critical and know exactly what keeps them up at night. Others carry the insecurity subconsciously they feel the weight without being able to name it.
Now think about this practically. You have lost your job. What are you most insecure about when you lie awake at night? Your career, your income, your ability to provide. That insecurity lives in the 9th house from your Moon.
How the Remedy Works
When you worship the deity associated with the lord of the 9th house from Moon, something very specific happens: that deity helps you remove the insecurity by resolving the situation that is causing it.
If the insecurity is about career the deity helps you find work. If the insecurity is about finances the deity opens pathways to income. If the insecurity is about relationships the deity brings stability.
The remedy addresses the root, not the symptom.
Step-by-Step: Finding Your Deity
Here is how to find the right deity for your chart:
Step 1: Identify where the Moon is placed in your birth chart. This becomes your Moon Lagna.
Step 2: Count the 9th house from Moon. For example, if your Moon is in Virgo, the 9th house from it is Taurus.
Step 3: Find the lord of that 9th house. In our example, Taurus is ruled by Venus.
Step 4: Look up the deity associated with that planet using the Graha Devata system.
For Venus, the associated deity is Lakshmi. So the remedy would be to recite the Lakshmi Nama Mantra, Sri Suktam, Lakshmi Sahasranama, or Lakshmi Ashtottaram.

The Amatyakaraka Factor
The 9th-from-Moon remedy is powerful, but for career specifically, there is an additional layer: the Amatyakaraka (AMK).
The Amatyakaraka is the planet with the second-highest degree in your chart (including Rahu in the calculation, but not Ketu as Ketu is the Moksha Karaka). In Jaimini Jyotish, the Amatyakaraka is your “divine minister” the planet responsible for helping you find work and move towards fulfilling your highest karma through the Atmakaraka.
Why this matters: Whenever the Amatyakaraka Dasha runs in your chart, you will often notice events that lead to employment or career shifts. Strengthening the AMK (if it is well-placed) means strengthening your divine helper.
For example, if Mercury is your Amatyakaraka, the associated deities are Vishnu and Ganesha. Which one to prioritize? Check which Dasha you are currently running. If you are in Rahu-Jupiter, then Jupiter-related worship takes priority right now. But if Mercury has strong influence in your chart say, it rules your 10th house then Mercury’s deity takes precedence regardless.
What If There Is a Parivartana (Exchange)?
If the lord of the 9th house from Moon is involved in a Parivartana Yoga (planetary exchange), then you consider the planet that is receiving the exchange and worship its deity instead. The exchange redirects the energy, and the remedy must follow that redirection.
How Quickly Does This Work?
This depends entirely on individual karma and the Dasha you are running. If your karma is aligned and the Dasha supports the remedy, results can manifest remarkably fast sometimes within weeks. If the karma is heavy or the Dasha is unfavorable, it may take longer. Consistency in sadhana is what matters.
