Find your birth nakṣatra and pāda from the Moon, the Viṣṇu Sahasranāma verse that belongs to it, your Vimśottarī mahādaśās and today’s tāra bala.

How it works

The Moon’s sidereal longitude, with the True Citrapakṣa ayanāṁśa, gives the nakṣatra: twenty-seven of 13°20′ each, from Aśvinī at 0° Aries, and four pādas of 3°20′ in each. The 108 pādas match the 108 verses of the Viṣṇu Sahasranāma, counted from Aśvinī or from Śravaṇa; both counts and the full text are in the Viṣṇu Sahasranāma verse for your birth star.

The Vimśottarī daśā starts from the lord of your nakṣatra. The part of the nakṣatra the Moon has already crossed is the part of that lord’s daśā already spent before birth. Tāra bala counts from your nakṣatra to the Moon’s nakṣatra today, in nine tāras of three. Nothing you enter here leaves your browser.
